I recently visited  the fabulous shop P o r c h on Santa Claus Lane, where I came across magnificent sustainable garden designs by Jeffrey Gordon Smith Landscape Architecture.  I love his masterpiece “Out of the Box,” which was designed as a demonstration at the San Luis Obispo Botanical Gardens.

Smith’s combination of rugged salvaged materials and succulent plants create a spectacular, eco-conscious garden. I could see creating a gorgeous green event around this installation.

I am also so inspired by Smith’s installation at the San Francisco Flower and Garden Show!

Thank you to the ladies at Porch for introducing me to this talented artist’s work! It is always a treat to discover something or someone new. I am always inspired by great art and these pieces would be the piece de resistance at any green event!
